Letter to the Mayor –Newsletter

My name is Jeff Rhodes community organizer for several years, and I have also been working on ideas to motivate at-risk-youth to stay out of trouble, stay in school and graduate on time. After several setbacks I feel I figured out the combination (to help put at risk youth on the road to success). I Do it because I wish someone would have been there for me. So I made a program of prevention, preservation and unity in our communities. Please see my PowerPoint Presentation -

This program is offered in all cities so I am sending this to every mayor in the Oregon Blue Book to start. This program is mainlky for at-risk-youth because I was adhd out of control. I know it will work trust me ok! If it works we come back with bigger show if not I can continue on to other communities were the program might work.

(info) So I isolated a few things kids love the most - Food and Music - Electronics (kind of the same) OK. Then what they need the most that would be a mentor. What youth need the most is a mentor, food and shelter, we can provied some of this stuff to these community if you support this.

Music is a huge key so (Recording contracts, and starting record companies) is our best approach. But you need m usic so thats why I bring 2000 original songs to the table for anyone and I can make what ever someone wants.

SHORT: Back Ground!  For 8 years I have been testing and surveying important issues in the urban communities, directly relate toyouth and working on solutions to give youth options and choices. I was a helpful part in the West Coast Hip Hop Awards since it started 2009 I have their support (see on Facebook photographs I took this is the 8th coming year.) I talked to all these people and they told me it was the music that got them out of trouble and I have their support as mentor. I need to bring them and let them perform..

I have had years of private discussions with city leaders such as House Representative Lew Fredrick, Amanda Fritz, Former Sen. Bob Boyer 1995, US Sen. Jeff Merkley, House Representative Jefferson Smith, big supporter Chair of Oregon Democratic party KC Hanson, Many teachers, Principals and community volunteers of East Portland Action Plan, family members, and many other mentors. I did surveys I have my facts straight I just need your support. I worked on governor kitzhopers campain and talked to him about it on his election date and he liked it so much he played a song from it at his campaign.

I ran some tests, promoted a few gatherings, (see on Facebook over 7 years - Beats4books) and I came up with a program called now the usprogram. During these 8 years I gained experience in community Working for companies like Grassroots Campaigns, (GCI) Multnomah County Democrats and became house district leader for district 48, worked on many political campaigns, did executive voting and canvassing for several non profits.

I went around the west coast OREGON, WASHINGTON, CALIFORNIA, ARIZONIAN, IDAHO asking 4 similar type questions talking to ordinary people in ordinary situations on the bus, at the park, at the taco bell, at the where ever.

Some.. Questions were 10,000 surveys (random and subscribers)

  1. Were you a drop out (more than half were?)
  2. Would you support a program like this?
  3. Do you think this program would work for a person dropping out?
  4. do you know someone that this program might have help when they were younger?

A huge 88 percent yes on most question over 70% yes on question number

The program runs on a consensus vote and directors/mentors are voted in. This program will help become a guide to motivate one another through the networking and gatherings. We set up community food donation outreach post at each job where the mentors work, there family members, the youths family members who support the youth -(Program boundaries of the community's that we outreach based on Country Precinct-District-and Zip Code)

We have food collection contest's to determine position on program and flyer and offer perks that help everyone enjoy a nice day of community. This can be at any community business, college, high school, venue, club, open venue place. We give youth a challenge they choose from school to concert tickets.

We need venues to support us as well. (do you know any?)

Great if there is a stage we can use. Youth can perform sell tickets to their friends and family and keep 100 percent of the money if they stay in school and out of trouble.

This is what they want please help me in your city save thousands of lives. This is the only way today your city will thrive and help youth. Music is the key! I am not talking about the successful programs already existing. Those are great but there are still one million homeless teens, and over 1 in every 5 go hungry each day. Who are these people? help them then gain there trust, there vote, and there friendship.

Youth get magazine interviews if they improve in school, there are several perks for there success. This program is chief and I need your support. I call this a beats4books concept there are over 12 separate programs/concepts. (Please see my (blogs and comment on anything you like)

It has taken me 8 years to come up with this program and it is very complex. If you keep asking questions you will get confused. But the main Idea is to feed everyone in the community every night around the end of the month, while having nice sounding local music bands or rappers playing somewhere around town in different communities, with contests and  games and everyone involved makes a little money for their time. The more time you spend/volunteer the more you get.

I have reached out to senators like State Senator Rod Monroe and his wife veteran professors they absolutely love this program because there nothing out there for dropouts, and I have others as well. I have been active in my community and I would like to continue my work so how can i get your support?

All youth must stay out of trouble or they lose their performance money for that event, and there spot in the next show. But they can try again and again and again until they get it. We need volunteers and mentors to contact members of their family and their youth family members (if a mentor) and ask them to collect food in a box (at their work) to help their youth fill up a 500 pound barrel first.

Youth can make music and sell their music download (click)

We create better friendships because they are based on having fun and performing good sounding music. This alone will save the community from starving, prevent homelessness in youth and offer extra money instead of begging for food.

I have several petitions presently, will you sign my petitions? (click)

I have a program that will help prevent gang killings, homelessness, starvation in the world, prevent meth use and other addictions, support and make your community safer! I need your support – Help big problems in your city! Prevent Meth addiction! Prevent Crime! Help homelessness, Give hope! This program can help motivate your community!

Dear everyone

How are you? My name is Jeffery Rhodes and for 8 years I have been looking for ways to inspire at risk youth, homeless, hungry, recovering AA/NA members, all over the USA With this awesome tool that will inspire everywhere. I call it a concept it’s the (beats4books concepts) that I refer to. This mean you can offer a at risk youth a opportunity and they work to that goal that is what they want to do. Beats4books can be applied in many ways. A powerful thing about this tool/concept is that it brings new opportunity; new friend’s together, new relationship, and new small businesses.

We go into the trenches working to diminish hunger for the community and inspiration to imagine bigger ideas. This program is what we have been waiting for. It took me 8 years to make it and now I am calling on you.

This program is an alternative for meth users, and other drugs it’s a way for these user  to give back, get a long and work together. We give youth something better than a gun or gangs that is a microphone and a stage with their favorite artists, and the big difference in this program is that the money goes back into the community to help those in need and not to big corporations. People in the community invest time and effort with new ideas into the picture.

To make this happen in your community I need your support. Hire my program to come to your community. You will only need to do this one time. Show me that my time will not be wasted with your support. If this sounds cool check out my website at
It addresses the issues of:

  1. Gangs/guns
    2. Crime
    3.  Drugs/abuse
    4.  Jobs
    5.  Homelessness
    6.  Starvation
    7.  And more…

Interns from local colleges to canvass the community looking to rebuild the community with a concept called beats4books: That is you can offer an at risk youth/or other an opportunity in exchange they will finish school on time and stay out of trouble. Na and AA  members (I need your voice) and the local supporters go canvassing in the community to find places we can give out free food to the community. Places with a stage we need to let youth perform for the community. Once we find a building, venue, club, bar, park, community business or where ever we consider entertainment, car washing, yard work and more. All the money goes to the community.

We find local youth bands and let them perform and sell tickets to the show opening for a bigger local band or major act depending on recruitment for our program and volunteers we find. The kids get to keep all the money from the ticket sells they keep 100 percent if they stay in school and out of trouble. If there are people in the community that needs food they can have a bag per show they attend. They also can sell tickets to their family and keep ½ of the proceeds as well. Everyone works as a community and receives a benefit except me. I run it but only get my share like everyone else.
It works because we give everyone what they want in the community, what they need and all at the cost of relaxing and enjoying music and entertainment.
This problem solving program gives everyone what they want. This program is made to help everyone in the world and if you support it we will change the world. The program is complex but addresses all the big issues in our communities. The thing about this program is it is offered all over the USA. Support anyway you can and check out our website
Thank You
Jeffery Rhodes
